The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I discovered behind its entrance was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The State of Affairs: Squalid and Neglected

The surfaces were tacky , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms permeated the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of human waste, decay and illness . The main bar, which should be the main attraction of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The lavatory was in even a truly awful state—overflowing , with a shattered handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was human waste .

It wasn’t just a isolated occurrence either.
